Media Resources for Desi Writers

Here’s a list of US-based media resources that focus on writers of South Asian origin. Over time, other regions will be added. Thanks.

Writers: As with all book-related media requests, please spend some time familiarizing yourself with the work of the venue or influencer before contacting. Also, it’s always a good idea to contact at least THREE months in advance of a book’s release date. Most media venues (including the Desi Books podcast) tend to book at least those many months in advance. And, finally, at a bare minimum, please ensure that you’re including pertinent details about the book and the author via a press release or similar. The easier you can make the decision-making process for media folks, the more they may be willing to work with you.

Media Folks: Please contact if you’d like to be added or removed from the list.

Please note that Desi Books is not affiliated with any of these organizations or individuals. There are no reciprocity arrangements of any kind. This list is in service of writers looking to find their readers.
