Desi Books Masthead

Praveen Ahuja works as a technologist at a multinational software company. Originally from Chandigarh, India, he has called the Dallas, Texas area home since 1997. When he’s not being a data nerd, he can be found tinkering with his motorbike, crooning old Bollywood songs with his trusty harmonium, or moonlighting as a real estate consultant. As the publisher of Desi Books, he’s in charge of administration activities: technology, marketing, advertising, merchandising, platform audiences, etc.

Jenny Bhatt is a writer, literary translator, book critic, and a creative writing instructor. As the founder and editor-in-chief of Desi Books, she’s in charge of operational activities: content editing and publication, freelance writing assignments, community management, publisher and author communication, media events, etc. When she’s not doing all of the above, she’s trying to finish her two ongoing book projects.

Remy Martin is the Desi Books mascot and, around here, he’s the truly sane and sensible one. He has, clearly, impeccable taste in books and living room décor. And he can pull off that freshly-tousled look like no one else. He’s in charge of all things HR-related: breaks, vacation, rewards, personal wellbeing, health and safety, talent management, and more.
